Babies grow so fast so it is important to not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to freeze time in the earliest days of life.

A booking fee of $150 is due at time of booking to secure your date. The fee is non-refundable but will be credited towards your chosen collection.

When should I book?
It is important to book early on in your pregnancy to secure your date as there are limited sessions available each month. Once you book your newborn session your due date will be penciled in our diary. Once baby arrives let us know and we will schedule an exact date and time for your session.
If your new baby has already been born please contact the studio and we will do our best to book a session for you. We do not want anyone to miss out on capturing this fleeting time.
The best time to photograph your new baby is between 5 and 12 days of age. Being a mother myself I know how hard it can be to get about in the early days but it is in this time that babies are most sleepy and happy to be posed for photographs. It is important to book early with your expected due date and then get in touch as soon as possible after bub is born to book your session. If it is not possible to make it to a session during this time frame I will still happily capture these cherished images however we may not be able to get the sleepy newborn poses we often see.

What to wear?
When choosing what to wear for your newborn photography session try to avoid large distracting patterns and logos, we want to focus to be on your new baby. Choose colours that compliment each other, and compliment your home. Many parents choose to wear soft natural colours or pastels or even plain black or navy shirts.
We have a range of maternity gowns available in the studio which some mothers choose to wear as they are very flattering for new mums.
I suggest wearing something light to the session or bringing a light change of clothes with as the studio is kept very warm for bubs comfort.

What will happen at the session?
Sessions usually take between 2 and 4 hours to ensure there is enough time for feeding and settling bub as needed. During your session we will capture a variety of photographs of your beautiful baby in several poses and props. We aim to capture all the details you don't want to forget. Family and sibling photographs are included in each of our newborn sessions if requested at no extra charge. We request that if siblings are joining us for family photographs that someone is available to take them out once they have had their photographs taken. The studio is very warm and siblings often get bored waiting around and trying to be quiet. Westfield North Lakes is only a short drive away or there are a variety of parks and playgrounds close by.
What happens next?
Within approximately 2 weeks you will be invited back to the studio for a design appointment. At this design appointment you will get to see your newborn photographs for the very first time. I will guide you in selecting the perfect collection and designing any display pieces you may like.
Once you have decided on the details I will order any products and prepare your order. Print orders are ready in approximately 2 weeks. Wall art and signature pieces are ready for collection in 4-6 weeks. Payment for orders is due at the design appointment.
